You won't believe what we found. We took some aerial drone footage of the old abondoned Republic Rubber Company on Albert St in the North/East Side of Youngstown, which closed in 1989. The buildings look eerie and surreal! Highlights at 3:00, 4:24, 6:15, 9:20, 11:00.

This week we're exploring the gateway to the gods. 5 massive cooling towers left abandoned in the rolling hill of Derbyshire. Perfect for the drone. Bit of History: Willington Power Station was in fact two, almost entirely separate stations, within the same site. Willington ‘A’ and ‘B’ shared coal and water supplies, but had separate management and staff. The site was chosen for its close proximity to the Derbyshire coalfields via the mainline railway, and water via the river Trent. Willington A was shut down in 1994 and station ‘B’ was effectively run into the ground, with it finally shutting down in 1999, ending 41 years of power generation at Willington. Although most of the site was demolished at the turn of the millennium, the five cooling towers continue to dominate the skyline o...

The Syma X5C (X5C-1) can be extremely maneuverable if you remove the weight of its camera. Here's how! You can greatly improve flight time if you fly entirely without the camera, or fly with an 808 keychain camera in its place. The X5C camera is very simple to remove. This video shows how and why. Video technology and science converge on an active volcano in Vanuatu, where explorer Sam Cossman operated camera-mounted drones to capture high-definition images of the spectacular yet dangerous Marum Crater. Cossman and his team piloted the drones over the 7.5-mile-wide (12-kilometer) caldera while confronting toxic gases and boiling lava. Although two drones succumbed to the harsh environment, the team was able to bring back video and photos that will help scientists learn more about the volcano and the life around it. ➡ Subscribe: http://bit.ly/NatGeoSubscribe About National Geographic: National Geographic is the world's premium destination for science, exploration, and adventure. Flyability has taken part in an expedition that marks a new milestone in cave exploration. For the first time, a drone has been used - for a scientific purpose - to explore the area of a cave that would have been otherwise inaccessible or too dangerous for a human to explore. Two flights over McCann's huge quarry in Knockloughrim in good visibility and in a SEly breeze, drone within visual line of sight at all times and I was using an additional spotter with binos as back up. Maximum altitude 120m and maximum distance 380m. Still have gimbal issues, gimbal drifts loosely in yaw making it very difficult to take cinematic footage while curving/wrapping around a subject which is why you will see little of it on this video. Impressive quarry though! www.nightskyhunter.com
